This is so completely accurate for New Years Eve. Some people especially friends don’t understand that I can’t drink because it messes with my meds. They don’t get how smoke in the bars makes for a miserable next few days. Sometimes I just want to stay in bed and watch Netflix. I’m not flaky, come hangout at my house, we can watch Netflix together. It’s a rough road when no one understands your chronic illness. They say “well you don’t look sick” or ” It’s just in your head”. You lose friends because you just don’t get it and I guess that’s okay
