About

Being young and chronically ill can be a struggle that some of us know all to well. I’ve been sick my whole life with IBS and kidney disease. I have always managed well and only had to see the doctor once every few months but in 2014 things took a turn. I began having serious health issues that couldn’t be explained. I had to make the tough decision to switch doctors so that I could get some answers. I made a wonderful choice. The doctor that I started seeing actually seemed to care. It was nice having a doctor believe me and not tell me it was all in my head, despite that fact that my blood panels and tests always came back normal. After months of being miserable and numerous tests the doctors decided to take my gallbladder. Which didn’t help with my constant nausea and vomiting. I am now seeing an autoimmune specialist and hope to get answers soon. I’m excited to share my journal and hear from others in similar situations. ❤
